Initially it was a Medical School, which was located in the building of the city hospital on the street named after the doctor Patushinsky. The first director of the school was Mikhail Ivanovich Lisatov. The school had 3 teachers and 30 students. The first graduation of nurses took place in 1938, and of obstetricians in 1940. During the Great Patriotic War, graduates and teachers of the Achinsk Medical School selflessly worked at the fronts and in rear hospitals. The purpose of subject clubs is to introduce technical school students to research activities and to master basic professional competencies. The technical school is implementing the “School of Mercy” project. Teachers, students, and volunteers participating in the project conduct master classes for schoolchildren on the issues of caring for seriously ill patients. Using phantoms, they demonstrate the technique of making beds for bedridden patients, preventing bedsores, especially personal hygiene for seriously ill patients, and other manipulations within the framework of the project program. The regional state educational institution SPO "Achinsk Medical School" is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. At first it was a “Medical School”, which was located in a small room on the ground floor of the city hospital and the doctor Mikhail Ivanovich Lisatov was appointed director. The first bell rang at the educational institution in December 1936. At that time, the school had 3 teachers and 30 students. For many years, the medical school huddled in a small wooden one-story building on the street named after N.N. Butorina. Water was transported by horse, and the stoves were heated with wood.

During the Great Patriotic War, graduates of the school and teachers - doctors selflessly worked at the fronts and in rear hospitals. Among them are nurses: N. Shepilina, M. Veprentseva, N. During her tenure, a previously “impenetrable” problem was successfully resolved - connecting the school’s engineering networks to the city sewerage networks. A surgical unit was formed and equipped with existing equipment, a unit on “Fundamentals of Nursing” was separated into a separate module, information technologies were introduced into the educational process, and the approach to the aesthetic design of the interiors of the academic building and dormitory was radically changed.
