Whose footprints for children. Blog of an ordinary mom

Many animals live around us, but most people have seen only stray dogs and cats walking on the street just like that. Wild animals are very cautious and even hiding in the forest it is not always possible to notice them. The forest inhabitants have a good sense of smell and they can smell you for several kilometers. They will not show themselves, because they are afraid of a person. But you can always see animal tracks in the snow, wet ground or sand. Like in a cartoon about Masha and the Bear: "And who went? Bunny?" Now we will reveal to you all the secrets of the footprints.

Animal footprints

The hare has long hind legs, and therefore the footprint of the hind leg is also long. This is when the bunny is not particularly in a hurry. But when he flies away with all his might, the tracks are indistinguishable, only a couple of pits at a jump distance.

The trace of a squirrel is splayed fingers. The footprint of the hind foot is again longer than the front.

The footprint of a deer or roe deer is a hoof print, and not a simple one, but a paired one, because there are 2 hooves on the leg. No wonder deer are called artiodactyls.

The boar is also an artiodactyl. Its track is slightly similar to that of a deer, but wider and shorter.

Weasel's paws are small, but wide, and the footprints are wide.

The badger has similar footprints, but is larger.

See the little dog's footprint? It could be a fox.

And if the tracks are large, then perhaps a gray wolf has been here before you.

And it is quite rare to see the traces of a clubfoot bear.

Now, walking in the winter forest, you can find out what animals live here.

Author's didactic game "Whose traces?"
Target:
To form in preschoolers elementary ideas about the world around them.
The use of information and communication technologies in games and in the classroom allows children not only to easily and firmly learn the material, but also to develop attention and logical thinking, the desire to express their thoughts.
The set includes:
Animal cards, animal footprints.
How to play:
This game has many options.
You can examine the animal, name it, and then pick up its tracks.
You can verbally describe the animal, the children guess, and then pick up the trail.
Another option is drawing animals and then picking up tracks. Or vice versa.
Correctly guessed track wild animal is accompanied by an illustration and applause, which especially attracts the attention of children.
You can diversify (complicate the game) by adding bird tracks and pictures with birds, animals from hot countries, human footprints without shoes and in different shoes.
You can come up with your own rules, it all depends on your imagination.

Educational game "Whose trace?" introduces children to the inhabitants of our forests. Animals are the most common, well-known to everyone: a wolf, a fox, a hare, a bear ... Therefore, such a task can be offered even to kids 4-5 years old. It is better to start a conversation about footprints on a walk. Print your footprints in the snow in winter or on a sandy beach in summer, and examine them with your child. Returning home, take out the toy "Whose trace?" and let the child try to guess which animal the footprints belong to. Then the guess can be checked - try to combine the images of the footprint and the animal into a single whole. Since each card is cut in its own way, the trail can only go to the right animal.
For older children, this educational game can be turned into a wonderful competition. But for this you will have to make at least two sets of puzzle cards. And then the competition for time - who is faster. Both two people and two small teams can participate in the competition at the same time. Another option for a team game-competition. Each participant is given half a card - someone with a trace, someone with an animal. Children should get into pairs so that the pictures match each other. The team that does it first wins.
You can complicate the developing game by cutting all the cards in the same way. That is, any footprint can fit any animal. The advantage of this option is that the child should more consciously connect the pictures, relying directly on the drawings, and not on the shape of the cut line. But there is also a minus - you need external control of correctness on your part. You determine whether the picture is correctly assembled or not and correct the errors. If you are going to hold a competition with such pictures, then you will need to determine the winner not only by the criterion of “who is faster”, but also “who is more accurate”.

How to make cards for the educational game for children "Whose trace?"

First of all, you need to print the picture cards. To make them all the same size for you, we suggest that you proceed according to the following algorithm:
1. Click on the picture on the site to enlarge it. Copy the picture (right-click and select the action "Copy image")
2. Open the Microsoft Word application and paste the picture.
3. Resize the picture, setting the image width to 18-19 cm. If the picture "leaves" outside the page, then in the "text wrapping" options, select the "around the frame" option - the picture will become "obedient".
4. If you want to make cards larger than 18 cm, then use the landscape position of the sheet. The main thing is to set the same value for all cards.
5. Transfer all other pictures in the same way and print everything.
Glue the printed pictures onto cardboard and place them under a press of several books. Cut out picture cards. Cut each card in half along an arbitrary line: an angle, a wave, a straight line ... If you are going to make the same cut on all the cards, be sure to make a template, mark the cut line along it, and then cut it.

How many of you can make a tractor trail with your own feet? Stand up like Charlie Chaplin: toes out and take small, small steps. And with the help of your feet, you can draw a chamomile or depict a giant footprint of a Bigfoot, write different letters and words. Even huge, so that they can be read from the balcony of the top floor.
